Austen Embers* (they/them) is a Latinx romance novelist based in Chicago, Illinois. They write intelligent, bittersweet, funny, sexy, strange, tender romance novels about complicated people (of all genders and orientations). They primarily write about young, difficult women and nonbinary femmes who, like Austen, are emotionally clumsy high-masking autistics. Austen loves feminism, boygenius, and hates capitalism. Their debut novel is planned to release in the fall of 2025.
